India, it is time welcome two brand new electric bikes to the country — Kabira Mobility’s KM 3000 and KM 4000. The Goa-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer announced the launch of the premium electric motorcycles fairly recently, with prices starting at ₹126,990 for the KM 3000 and ₹136,990 for the KM 4000. While the KM 3000 is described as a sports bike, the company has pegged the KM 4000 as a street fighter — and both of them are made in India.
Speaking about its two new offerings, Kabira Mobility had previously said, “We have been working on these electric bikes for 02 years before unveiling them in their pre-production form last year. Now, after months of fine-tuning and reworking on the electric bikes, our warriors are all set to make their debut nationwide. We have conducted extensive road and track tests of these electric bikes and complemented their performance by building a robust technology platform to enable and ensure an enhanced user experience.”
The KM 3000 gets a 3500 W BLDC hub motor sourced from DeltaEV and a 4.0 kWh li-ion battery. The company claims the scooter is capable of a top speed of 100 km/h and a max range of 120 km per charge in Eco mode. The bike can be fully charged in 6 hours and 30 minutes. Now, the KM 4000 — this one comes equipped with a DeltaEV-sourced 5000 W BLDC hub motor and a 4.4 kWh li-ion battery. This baby can achieve a top speed of 120 km/h and offers a riding range of 150 km per charge in Eco mode as well.
Both of the new electric bikes get three riding modes, namely, Eco, Ride, and Sports as well as other provisions such as a digital dashboard, smartphone connectivity, etc.
